Zambia
Zambia (officially The Republic of Zambia) is a republic in southern Central-Africa. The total surface is 752.614 km2 which makes Zambia about 20 times bigger than Holland.

Zambia's neighbouring countries are 7 in total and include Congo in the north, Tanzania in the northwest, Malawi in the east, Mozambique in the southeast, Zimbabwe in the south, Namibia in the southwest and Angola in the west.

Two of the biggest rivers of Africa start in Zambia, the Zambezi and the Congo River. The Zambezi is by far the most important if her tributaries are included as well: the Kabompo, Kafue en Luangwa. These rivers all have very different levels of water during the year which causes mighty rapids and waterfalls. Most famous are the Victoria Falls near Livingston, over 100 meter high and almost 2 km wide.

In the northeast Zambia borders the mighty Lake Tanganyika. Lake Tanganyika is 675 km long and is the second deepest lake in the world and contains one sixth of all sweet water supply in the world!
